FAQs about our Stainless Steel Cookware

ProBond and NanoBond have a similar tri-ply construction with 18/10 stainless steel as the interior/cooking surface and our exclusive aluminumProCoreTM. Where NanoBond differs is that the 18/10 stainless steel is further protected by thousands of molecular titanium nano-layers that create an incredibly durable and impermeable surface that is 400% harder than stainless steel and ultra-smooth.

Both our ProBond and Thomas Keller Commercial Clad collections are made of tri-ply 18/10 stainless steel with our exclusive pure aluminum ProCore™ that delivers 35% greater heat conduction.

        What's in Common?

        • ProCore™ delivers 35% greater heat conduction
        • Induction compatible
        • Signature Hestan Advantages...
        • Handcrafted in Italy
        • Lifetime warranty

        What's Different?

        Construction

        • ProBond is clad stainless-steel cookware, similar to All Clad, but with advanced features and benefits. The tri-ply construction is optimized by cold forging the steel so the base and rims are thicker for durability, but the sidewalls are thinner to help reduce the weight.

        Ergonomic Handle

        • Chef Keller's bespoke handle design, which rests comfortably in hand, minimizes heat transfer via stay-cool handle vent, and offers an improved angle for lifting and moving the cookware. Most notably, the innovative seamless handle eliminates the food-trapping crevice with beauty and incomparable craftsmanship.

        Lids

        • The Thomas Keller Commercial Clad collection features two universal lids designed to fit all the vessels in the collection and reduce manufacturing waste by eliminating extraneous lids.
        • ProBond includes our signature stainless steel Hestan lid that is interchangeable between our NanoBond and CopperBond collections.

        Finish

        • Commercial Clad pieces have a lightly-brushed stainless steel interior and exterior for an elevated commercial look
        • ProBond has a polished stainless steel rim paired with brushed stainless steel body.

Stainless steel woks are known for their durability and excellent heat conduction, making them ideal for high-heat cooking techniques like stir-frying. They are also non-reactive, which means they won’t alter the taste of acidic foods.

Yes, our Clad Stainless Steel Wok is specifically designed to be fully compatible with induction stoves. This Stainless Steel Wok is designed with a tri-ply body that includes a pure aluminum core, which not only ensures maximum durability and fast, even heat distribution but also makes it suitable for all cooking surfaces, including induction.

Stainless steel woks with lid should be washed with warm soapy water and a sponge or soft brush. Avoid using steel wool or abrasive cleaners that can scratch the surface. For tough residues, soaking the wok or using a mixture of vinegar and baking soda can help.

        Why ProBond?

A stainless steel pan with handles is placed on a stovetop. In the background, there is a glass bowl of diced tomatoes and chopped purple onions on the counter.

        Superior Heat Conduction

Tri-ply stainless steel construction with our exclusive pure aluminum ProCore delivers 35% greater heat conductivity than other clad cookware.

        Chef Inspired Design

Reinforced stainless rims guard against the inevitable whack of the whisk, while their flared design ensures drip-free pouring. Flush rivets prevent food buildup within the cooking surface and also allow for easy nesting storage.

        Heavy Duty Construction

Our cold forging process provides a thicker base for even heat distribution, thinner side walls for lighter weight and thicker rims for increased durability.

        The Hestan Advantages

A stainless steel pan on a gas stove contains cooked gnocchi mixed with green peas and topped with grated cheese. The stove has a visible blue flame. White subway tiles are in the background.

        Flush Rivets

        How to Clean

ProBond is dishwasher safe. Unlike other stainless steel cookware, ProBond's sealed rims prevent delamination making it truly dishwasher safe. Over time, stainless steel may stain due to oil build up. Any staining or residue can be scrubbed with the powdered version of Barkeeper's friend and a soft scrubber.

Stainless steel frying pans and lids are neatly arranged in the bottom rack of an open dishwasher. The dishwasher is located in a modern kitchen setting with wooden cabinets in the background.

        I bought these pans to

"I bought these pans to replace my All-Clad pans. When I bought the All-Clad pans they were advertised as being dishwasher safe. Turns out they are not. All-Clad does not have sealed edges but the Hestan pans do! The pans cook great, feel substantial (not flimsy like most cheaper brands) and are great too cook with."

        Stylish, Well-built Pot

"Couldn’t be more happy with how stylish and functional this pot is. I am very selective over the brands I choose for my home, and this has made the list. I can’t wait to expand my collection."

ProBond Luxe® – Polished Clad Stainless Steel Skillets with TITUM® Nonstick

"Excellent skillet. I use the 8.5-inch ProBond Luxe on my Wolf 48-inch induction range, and it performs beautifully. It heats quickly and evenly, the TITUM® nonstick surface releases food effortlessly, and it’s perfect for eggs and smaller portions. It feels substantial and well-made without being overly heavy, and cleanup is extremely easy. The polished stainless exterior also looks great on a high-end range. Very impressed with the quality and performance."

        My Hestan Splurge

"I have to say, they are everything I read they would be. They were securely packed and once I unpacked them, they are so beautiful let them sit on the counter for a few days to just admire them! I have now used all but one so far. I love cooking with them! They feel so good in your hand, just love the handles. I am starting to get the hang of getting them not to stick. I’m sure that will become more natural over time. I’m hoping they inspire me to up my cooking game ;) I know there was probably something out there I could have gotten by with but I just kept coming back to these. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!"

Brushed Essential Pan 3.5 Qt Pan!

"Very happy so far - the pan is slightly smaller in appearance than I expected but it also holds a lot more food than I thought it would :) … so I’d say that balances out Still learning how to use stainless steel cookware but the features that hooked me initially have really impressed me during testing. The handle doesn’t get very hot at all in my experience, and the flush rivets are really satisfying to cook with… I liked the idea of easier cleaning but what I didn’t realize is that stirring would also be just a little more satisfying since my spoon didn’t bounce on the rivet heads. Not a crazy difference but I found that really satisfying. The handle is also very comfortable and the overall look of the pan is beautiful. In short, quite happy so far. Oh and the customer service was quick to respond when I asked to confirm the delivery date. Thanks!"

        Top Seafood Steamer

"I recently had shrimp and clams at a restaurant for my birthday and they were delicious. After returning home and checking on my steamer situation to replicate the restaurant experience, I knew I needed an upgrade. I have a few Hestan products, so I checked out their steamer. Wow, it looked great. I ordered it and have used it for both shrimp and clams and I could not be happier with its performance. Nanobond next?"

        — Charles b. (5/5)

"Another essential pan for my Hestan collection. These are excellent pans. I use induction and these pans are the best. Plus they clean up like new and look fabulous. I could not be happier."

        2-qt Sauce Pan

"This pan is amazing. I recently got a gas stove and. Found that gravies and sauces would cook up the side and stick in the corners of normal sauce pans. This one doesn’t do that. So far has been really easy to keep clean. Another one is my favorite pans. So glad I got it. Considering the 3. 5 qr essentials pan…"
