The most noticeable difference is the finish. ProBond Luxe features a gorgeous, mirror-polished exterior that truly shines in the kitchen, while ProBond Forged has a brushed finish that’s a bit more forgiving for everyday wear. Luxe is designed for those who love a radiant, display-worthy look.
Like any polished surface, Luxe’s brilliant shine can show scratches more easily than the brushed Forged finish. That said, the beauty is worth it for many cooks, and with a little care, Luxe will keep its stunning appearance for years. If you prefer a tougher, lower-maintenance look, Forged may be a better fit.
Not quite! The NEW ProBond Luxe Polished Clad Stainless Steel collection has an innovative super fine satin-finished cooking surface. This meticulous process is done to create a smoother and less porous cooking surface, and actually makes it easier to cook with and clean compared to the brushed polished interior of ProBond Forged.
It’s a subtle upgrade that many home chefs will appreciate every day.
Great question! This upgrade was heavily requested by our customers.
ProBond Luxe features Hestan’s signature chef-inspired handle borrowed from our Commercial Clad cookware line—the handle was originally designed by Michelin three-star Chef Thomas Keller. It has a flatter angle for comfort, a vented heat hole that helps the handle stay cooler, and best of all, it eliminates the little crevice that can trap food around traditional handles, like the ProBond Forged handle.
It’s another small change that makes cooking and cleaning much easier.
Yes! Good observation!
ProBond Luxe seeks to create a new standard in luxury stainless steel cookware—so we wanted to offer the widest variety of vessels possible. The polished ProBond Luxe line includes an expanded assortment of pieces beyond what you’ll find in the Forged collection, including larger format Stock Pots, and Rondeaus.
Think specialty items like a butter warmer, large format rondeaus and our extra large stockpots —each finished in a pristine, jewelry polished finish.
Luxe gives you more choices to build your perfect cookware collection.
ProBond® Luxe™ looks a lot like NanoBond®—what’s the difference?
You’re right, they both have that brilliant, showstopping shine!
The difference comes down to the titanium technology. Let’s look at them side by side.
Origin:
Both NanoBond® and ProBond® Luxe™ were designed in Napa Valley, and handcrafted in our Italian factories.
Molecular Titanium Finish
NanoBond and ProBond Luxe have a similar tri-ply construction with 18/10 stainless steel as the interior/cooking surface and our exclusive aluminum ProCore™.
Where NanoBond differs is that the 18/10 stainless steel is further protected by thousands of molecular titanium nano-layers that create an incredibly durable and impermeable surface that is 400% harder than stainless steel and is ultra-smooth—almost glass-like—making it more stick resistant.
Luxe doesn’t have titanium, but it brings you the radiant look and upgraded features at a more accessible price. It’s the perfect choice for anyone who wants shine and performance without stepping all the way up to NanoBond.
It should be said that Hestan NanoBond is still the best stainless steel cookware that money can buy.
Cleaning & Care
NanoBond will still be the easiest to clean because it has no pores; the titanium completely seals the stainless steel pores. ProBond Luxe features a newly updated super fine satin-finished cooking surface and base that take extra steps in the finishing process resulting in less textures, less pores compared to ProBond Forged, so it's easier to clean than typical stainless steel. It's very similar in feel and appearance to OvenBond.
Innovative ProBond Luxe Features
There are other advantages that were added from our collections onto ProBond Luxe that aren’t included in the NanoBond line. From the Thomas Keller Commercial Clad collection we used the handle—a welcomed feature that we may see on the NanoBond line someday.
ProBond Luxe is a wonderful alternative for people who maybe just don't want to reach for Nanobond quite yet, but wish to add high performance and an illustrious shine to their kitchen.
ProBond® Luxe was honored with the 2025 Red Dot Award for product design—recognized by a global jury of 43 design experts for its mirror-polished beauty, peerless craftsmanship, and the kind of elevated performance worthy of the world’s finest kitchens.
Eliminates the crevice where food and carbon can build up for effortless cleanup.
Tri-ply stainless steel construction with our exclusive pure aluminum ProCore delivers 35% greater heat conductivity than other clad cookware.
Interior flush rivets prevent food buildup, allowing for easy cleaning. Pieces nest neatly within each other for practical storage.
Sealed and flared rims, encapsulated in stainless steel to prevent exposed aluminum, delamination or separation.
Distinctive and display-worthy mirror-polished exterior is as beautiful to display as it is to cook with.
Unlike other stainless steel cookware, sealed rims prevent delamination making it truly dishwasher safe.
ProBond is dishwasher safe. Unlike other stainless steel cookware, ProBond's sealed rims prevent delamination making it truly dishwasher safe. Over time, stainless steel may stain due to oil build up. Any staining or residue can be scrubbed with the powdered version of Barkeepers Friend and a soft scrubber.

"This is my second non stick Hestan. The heat distribution on my induction stove is great. It’sa good non stick surface. My 10. 5” unit is still slick after a couple of years"
"This hestan stock pot is so high end you can feel it by just looking at the finishings and by the feel and balance of it. It performs even better. It has outstanding heat retention. I filled the pot with hot water in the sink to let it soak up leftover soup residue and walked away for 1. 5H. When I returned, the pot was still warm!"
"We got the forged skillet and it looks so beautiful! The brushed finish is really nice and it seems to be very high quality! Excited for this pan to be cooked with!"
"I purchased the 12 quart stockpot and have no regrets. What an amazing stockpot! The quality is beyond what words can describe for perfection in craftsmanship. 12 quarts of homemade spaghetti sauce and cleanup was a breeze. Nothing stuck to the bottom. My biggest fear of cooking with stainless steel was for nothing. Thank you Hestan for making the best stockpot!!"
"No doubt this is one of the best sauté pans available. Superior to Made-in, AlClad or LeCreuset. (And I have all there of these products). I use this on an induction range- heats up evenly and fast. Easy clean up. Outstanding appearance. Couldn’t be happier."
"I have enjoyed using this pan on a regular basis. I’m very pleased with the lower center of gravity the wider pan provides. I have an induction stove and I’m have enjoyed how responsive the pan is to temperature adjustments."
"I love having pans the perfect size for the task. I purchased this as an extra for making single portions of oatmeal and Cream of Wheat. I use this pan frequently so if one's in the dishwasher I have another on the ready."
"Excellent quality, love the nonstick surface. The handle does not seem to get as hot as some other Hestan pans that I own. I think it may have to do with the opening where the handle meets the pan. My other Hestan pan handles do not have that opening in the handle."
"I previously had purchased the CopperBond 11 inch skillet and was pleased with it. I wanted another skillet in stainless steel. The stainless steel is lighter than the copper and it is easier to clean than the copper. I like cooking in the copper skillet for special occasions where I have more time to do a proper polishing. The stainless steel ProBond is a great every day skillet. It has a nice light weight, good handle, and flush rivets. I really enjoy cooking eggs in the skillet."
"I was in the market for a new stock pot and came across Hestan. I was not familiar with the brand, but I liked what I read. I bought the ProBond Luxe 6 quart stock pot and am extremely pleased with my purchase. The even heating, sturdy construction, and beautiful finish make me look forward to cooking. Whatever you make in it turns out beautifully and cleaning is effortless. I have spent money on other "premium" brands, but have not been as pleased as I am with Hestan and plan to gradually replace my other cookware with Hestan. If you are on the fence, please give it a try. You won't be disappointed."
